Caratteristiche e finalità

The degree course Geology is delivered by the University of Pisa in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the University of Geological Sciences of Tashkent and the Ministry of Geology of Uzbekistan; it is also recognized in Uzbekistan.
To access the course students must attend and pass the Preparatory Year specifically delivered for the Geology course in Tashkent.
Alternatively, they must hold a secondary school diploma or other equivalent qualification obtained abroad following a school course of at least twelve years, recognized as suitable.

Cosa si studia

Students will be trained in the collection, analysis, and synthesis of data in the fields of:

  • geology, geophysics;
  • petrography;
  • mineralogy;
  • paleontology;
  • geochemistry;
  • geomorphology, stratigraphy, hydrogeology and environmental geology.

Il lavoro dopo la laurea

The graduates will acquire skills to support professional activities aimed at thematic cartography production, laboratory characterization of geomaterials, exploration for energy, mineral, and water resources, evaluation and mitigation of geological and environmental risks.

Dalla triennale alla magistrale

The degree in Geology allows access to the MSc in Geological Sciences and Technologies (LM-74), Environmental Sciences (LM-75) and Exploration and Applied Geophysics (LM-79).
